Franklin happy with switch
STILLWATER - Given an Oklahoma State class of true freshmen that included as many as seven players with the "athlete" tag, signifing that coaches weren't sure which position they would best fit into, a few position changes through the first few weeks of fall camp were expected.
While Orie Lemon did move from quarterback to fullback after three days of practice, the rest of his class has stayed pretty much where they started camp. And Lemon only changed places in the offensive backfield. The first major position change in August actually comes from the redshirt freshman ranks.
Vinita native Noah Franklin has suddenly found himself with a job 180 degrees from his old job.
"It was kind of my idea," Franklin said. "I didn't feel completely comfortable playing offense. It's a lot different system than I played in high school. I was doing alright at it, but I just thought that I'd probably be better on the defensive side of the ball."
