Thursday Practice Report
On Thursday, Pete Carroll held the final practice before the season opener against Arkansas.
The team had a sense of nervous energy as it prepared for its first opponent of the season, and the overwhelming feeling was relief that the game was finally here.
"I'm really excited about this weekend, we all are," said Fred Davis. "It's going to be really nice to beat up other competition and work as a team."
While everyone was equally excited about this weekend's game, not everyone was as excited about practice. Some players were sprinting from drill to drill, while others were lagging behind.
The majority of players moving slowly seemed to be practice squad guys, not making the trip.
However, Oscar Lua, a player who will certainly be making the trip, believes the team was just getting focused.
"This is some guy's first shot at real football and they've got something to prove. It's a pretty big deal because we finally get to see what our team is really about."
