Mustain has the keys
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - When Arkansas true freshman starting quarterback Mitch Mustain steps into the huddle, he is surrounded by nine multi-year starters, including four fifth-year seniors on the line and at tight end, but the team seems to be behind the move.
Mustain, the winner of several major national high school player of the year awards last season, was anointed to the starting spot on Sunday, replacing popular junior teammate Robert Johnson. Johnson has moved to wide receiver. Having the ability to play the flanker spot is one question left to be answered, but if Johnson's attitude is not into the move then it will not matter if he has the ability to help or not.
"I think it shows that Robert's here to win," Mustain said. "He's had a rough past, and I think it's kind of unfair what happend to him last Saturday - you know, with the fan's reaction to him - but he sucked it up, he stepped up."
