Rejuvenated defensive line playing its best yet
What has long been a weakness of Vanderbilt football may soon be a strength.
For roughly a quarter-century, the Commodores have not had the talent or depth on the defensive line to compete in the Southeastern Conference. The 2006 campaign looked like more of the same for the Vandy front four when Michigan's Mike Hart ran wild for much of the first half.
Since halftime of that game, however, the Commodores have held their own against two teams who traditionally run the ball as well as anyone. The success started with a change in philosophy, says Theo Horrocks, the line's best player, taught to them by new line coach Ricky Logo.
