Is UCLA ready to make statement?
UCLA travels to Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies in a game that has taken on a lot of meaning. When looking at the schedule over the summer, many thought that this game was going to be counted on as an easy victory for the Bruins. Now it appears to be a statement game for both programs and that could make the Huskies dangerous at home.
Because this match up is a statement game for both programs it brings interesting dynamics to the table. It is safe to say that both teams have chips on their shoulder and victory wouldn't necessarily remove them in the eyes of their detractors.
Both teams have a lot to prove. UCLA defense will be severely tested by a Husky that runs the football very well and as all Bruin fans know the running game has been UCLA's Achilles' heal for the last two seasons.
It is safe to say the Bruin defense still has a lot to prove and Washington provides another good test for the young UCLA defense.
