WACO, Texas - Entering Saturday night's game Baylor had never beaten Kansas State, losing all five of the previous meetings between the two programs. Then again, the Bears never faced a Wildcat team with the type of offensive struggles currently plaguing Coach Ron Prince's bunch. K-State continued to sputter offensively in Waco, as the Wildcats fell 17-3 at Floyd Casey Stadium to drop to 3-2 on the season.
"I'm not looking for any sliver lining," Prince said after the loss. "I think we're far enough in this thing to play better than we did."
It's likely a good thing that Prince wasn't searching for positives; it would take a while to find much to be excited about after losing to a Baylor team that entered 1-3 on the heels of a 27-20 home loss to Army.
