QB Kirby Freeman is preparing to be the starter against Maryland on Saturday.

With Kyle Wright out with a small fracture in his throwing hand, Freeman took almost all the first team snaps today.

Coach Larry Coker said after practice he thinks Wright "might be able to play."

It will depend on how well Wright can grip the football tomorrow when he gets his cast off.
