Prister's Preview: Notre Dame vs. USC
There is nothing quite like the Notre Dame-Southern California rivalry. That's not to say it is the greatest rivalry, which some people want to argue for when, in fact, that is an incredibly subjective topic.
Who's to say that the emotions involved with Auburn-Alabama, Michigan-Ohio State, Washington-Washington State, Texas-Oklahoma, Florida-Tennessee, Arizona-Arizona State, Harvard-Yale, etc., are any better or worse than the others?
But there's nothing quite like Notre Dame and Southern Cal because of the length of the series between the two schools so geographically removed from one another. The Irish are in South Bend, Ind. The Trojans are in Los Angeles, Calif. That's about 2,500 miles of United States soil separating the two schools.
