Hogs go down fighting
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Suffering its worse passing day of the season, Arkansas had a chance to beat LSU on its final drive but the passing woes were too much to overcome, and the Tigers escaped War Memorial Stadium with a 31-26 win.
Arkansas sophomore tailback Darren McFadden had a Heisman-like showing in rushing 21 times for 182 yards (8.7 per carry) and 2 touchdowns. LSU has been allowing just over 74 yards per game on the ground, and no running back has topped the 100-yard rushing against the Tigers all season. Arkansas' Felix Jones also rushed 16 times for 142 yards and 1 touchdown.
