O'Dowd enjoys USC
It is always a good thing to see and it says a lot about the internal fortitude about a big time prospect when he lives up to all the pre-season hype. That is exactly what four-star offensive lineman Kristofer O'Dowd from Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic did.
O'Dowd lived up this reputation as one of the best offensive linemen in the country and was honored with the very prestigious Frank Kush Award given to the Grand Canyon State's top offensive lineman.
"I didn't know winning the award was coming until my coach made the announcement before practice," O'Dowd said. "I really didn't know what it was. I am the first from Tucson (Ariz.) Salpointe Catholic to win the award.
"It was another accomplishment that people recognized my hard work."
