Nichol becomes top priority for Dantonio
Michigan State landed its man on Monday when the school's board of trustees approved Cincinnati head coach Mark Dantonio as its new coach. But the recruiting job isn't quite done yet. Now the Spartans must go out and secure the biggest gem of its early recruiting class - four-star quarterback Keith Nichol.
Nichol, of Lowell, Mich., is easily the most important prospect Dantonio must bring in. But the former Ohio State defensive coordinator may have an advantage should he keep a former colleague on the Spartans' staff.
Cincinnati, Michigan State, Purdue and Wisconsin were the four schools to offer Nichol before he committed to the Spartans the summer before his junior season.
