First trip to midwest goes well for Tigner
Pompano Beach (Fla.) Ely safety Dahrnaz Tigner committed to Kansas State without seeing the school, the city of Manhattan or even the state of Kansas. The two-star rated prospect was excited to get his first taste of being a Wildcat in person as he took his official visit over the weekend.
"Manhattan is a real nice and quiet town," the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Tigner said. "I think that is what I need. It is going to be a great place to spend the next four years. That was my first time there and I really had a good time.
"It was 18 degrees when I hopped off the plane. I had packed two coats to wear, so I got used to the cold pretty quickly. The cold didn't last too long for me."
