BC beats Navy, continues bowl streak
It wasn't pretty but against the style of football that their opponent plays, pretty is last on the list of priorities. Here in front of 52,303 people in Charlotte, N.C., Boston College eked out a thrilling come-from-behind win against the United States Naval Academy.
BC was dominated in almost every statistical category with the exception of the passing game. Navy, the number one rushing offense in the nation, ran up 322 yards on 59 carries on the Eagles. Time of possession was also heavily in favor of the Midshipmen (33:32 vs. 26:37) as well as first downs (Navy = 21, BC = 17) but in the end only one statistic matters and that was the final score.
