Adrian Peterson will skip his senior season at the University of Oklahoma to enter the NFL draft according to The Dallas Morning News. Peterson has been long expected to make the jump to the NFL following his junior season but an official announcement from Peterson or Bob Stoops has yet to surface.

The Dallas Morning News reported on its website late Wednesday night that "two sources close to the situation" had confirmed Peterson's intentions to declare for the NFL draft.

But later that same night, OU Head Coach Bob Stoops told The Tulsa World that reports stating Peterson's intention to turn pro were "absolutely incorrect".

"They're false," Stoops told the paper.

Stoops also told The Tulsa World that he didn't expect Peterson to make a final decision until the weekend or possibly even Monday.
