Three new names emerge as potential targets
While every Michigan fan knows who Ronald Johnson is, hoping he will sign with the Wolverines Feb. 7, there may be a few lesser-known recruits to decide to play for U-M in the next few weeks. Two names, in fact, have emerged on the recruiting scene unheard of until just recently
The duo - defensive tackle Cowles Stewart and defensive end Miguel Chavis - are teammates at Hargrave Military Academy in Westfield, N.J. Chavis, a 6-5, 244-pounder, is a three-star prospect and the No. 27 defensive end in the nation according to Rivals.com. Stewart (6-foot-2, 311 pounds) does not have a star ranking.
Chavis sounded lukewarm about coming, though, in his most recent update, with UGASports.com. Originally a North Carolina commitment, Chavis opened up his recruiting and has visited Tennessee, Maryland and Georgia. He is scheduled to visit Clemson this weekend.
