Aaron enjoys visit to FIU
Gainesville (Fla.) outside linebacker Oliver Aaron has emerged as a wanted prospect during recent weeks. Aaron made an official visit to Florida International during the weekend and came away impressed.
"I toured the campus, looked at the academic side of it and went to the beach," he said. "It went real well."
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Aaron got the chance to sit down and talk with new FIU head coach Mario Cristobal.
"He talked about me playing for him, how the program is going to grow and grow and how he'd like me to be a part of it and about life in general," he said.
Last weekend, Aaron visited Arizona State. Was Florida International, of the Sun Belt Conference, competitive with the experience in Tempe, Ariz.?
"It was right on par with Arizona State I must say," he said. "The coaching and everything was about the same. The players were about the same. I think these two are my frontrunners right now."
