A special Signing Day for Mason Robinson
Mason Robinson was the last of the bevy of new recruits to sign on for the Scarlet Knights' 2007 campaign on Wednesday, when at 6PM he put pen to paper and made it official. But this ceremony was probably much different than the others held round the state, as Robinson signed on in a church, Hope Church in Bound Brook. He did so not only in front of his mother and father, but in front of his pastor and over a hundred community members, coaches, and others who came to wish the young man well.
The group congregated to honor the player who ran for over 2,800 yards the past two years. They honored the ultra fast (4.4 forty), ultra smooth, and ultra skilled player who made college recruiters drool with anticipation. But most of all, they were there to honor a student athlete who has led by example throughout his career at Somerville - a kid they have been proud to call their own.
