Can Kinne get into the mix?
All of the focus among Longhorn quarterbacks this spring centers on the three guys that are taking part in spring drills - Colt McCoy, Sherrod Harris and John Chiles - but there is a fourth signal caller that will be joining the fold in a little more than two months.
Remember G.J. Kinne?
The ultra-productive Kinne is busy finishing up his days at Gilmer High School, and he's been keeping busy since the conclusion of football season. Once his work on the gridiron was done, Kinne moved straight to the basketball court, where he was a first-team all district performer, and he's now starring for the undefeated and state-ranked Gilmer baseball team.
The 6-foot-2, 207-pound Kinne, who plays catcher and shortstop, has even had some pro scouts stopping by to get a quick look.
