Tim Brown is gearing up for a big sophomore season
Last year, one of the smallest guys on the team came up with one of the biggest plays of the season. Tim Brown caught a seventy-two yard touchdown pass in the season finale against West Virginia.
"I was telling Mike [Teel] to hit me with that play all year," said Brown. "I told him if he hit me, it'd be big."
It turned out to be the year's longest play from scrimmage.
Over the course of the season, Brown continued to see more and more time each week. This season, the small but elusive athlete hopes to play a bigger role in the Scarlet Knight offense.
"I'm working a lot more on my routes, especially my shorter ones," said Brown. "I'm hoping to take some shorter passes and turn them into big gains."
The absence of Brian Leonard places a little more weight on the shoulders of the offense. Brown figures that he and the other returning receivers can help shoulder a lot of that weight.
