UA offers Elite QB
The state of Virginia has produced some of the nation's top dual threat stars with Michael Vick, Ronald Curry, Marcus Vick and Tyrod Taylor among the more heralded. This year Bayside signal caller E.J. Manuel is looking to add his name to the list of legends and the 6-foot-6, 203-pounder has seen his stock shoot through the roof in the last month with his latest offer coming in the past few days.
"Coach Cignetti from Alabama texted me and I called him back. He told me how much the staff likes my film. Then he put Coach Saban on the phone and he told me that he wanted me to come play for him. He said I had an offer to play at Alabama. I was very excited because they have a big time program," Manuel said. "I was sort of stunned that I was talking to Coach Saban who had won championships and coached the Miami Dolphins. He was nice and told me that I had an opportunity at Alabama to come in and learn the system and compete for playing time."
