Duncan lets his hair down at left tackle
Check out Paul Duncan's headshot in the 2006 Notre Dame football media guide and you'll see a smiling face with closely-cropped hair and a picture of youth.
Some eight months later, Duncan hasn't had a hair cut, at least not one that has altered the long, flowing style made popular on the Notre Dame team the last two years by former Irish wide receiver Jeff Samardzija.
The length of Duncan's hair is somewhat symbolic. You might say the 6-foot-7, 290-pound junior from Dallas, Ga., has let his hair down now that he's an upperclassmen, a projected starter at left tackle, and one of the more promising additions to the front five.
