Having appeared in just two AAU events throughout the April evaluation period, Verdell Jones has seen a new development take place in his recruitment. The 6-foot-4, 160-pound point guard from Central High School in Champaign, Ill., recently received a scholarship offer from a high-major, elite level program.

Kentucky recently offered while Kansas, Illinois, Tennessee and Florida have shown strong interest.
