Brewster seeing a major slowdown
There are several advantages for a major prospect when he makes an early commitment. Several, such as fulfilling a dream or securing a spot in a class are obvious. Another advantage, perhaps the biggest, is a return to sanity as phone calls, text messages and letters all of a sudden aren't coming in at a fast and furious pace.
In the three months prior to his commitment, Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater offensive tackle Michael Brewster was updated fifteen times on the Rivals.com network - for an average of one update every six days. In the ten days since he went public, this is the first time he's had to deal with one of the 'inquiring minds' from the world of recruiting.
