After a frustrating start during the first round of the Jayhawk Invitational on Friday night, Verdell Jones was much more productive on Saturday. During the afternoon session, Jones, the 6-foot-4, 160-pound point guard from Central High School in Champaign, Ill., scored 32-points, including 14 free-throws. The four-star prospect spent some quality time with Jayhawk Slant and discussed a number of topics, including his recruitment.

Jones, who recently received a scholarship offer from Kentucky, told Jayhawk Slant that he's been to Lawrence a number of times to visit the campus.

While Jones is certainly high on the Jayhawks, he clearly has a number of options to consider when it comes to his future. In all, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arizona, Arizona State, DePaul, Texas A&M, UCLA, Southern Illinois, Louisville, Oregon and a few others have expressed the most interest.
