Football: Comings and goings
After being suspended indefinitely following their separate alcohol-related arrests during the spring, junior safety Torri Williams and redshirt freshman linebacker Jeff Lindsay have been re-instated by Coach Joe Tiller, the coach said.
Williams, who badly injured his knee in the season opener against Indiana State, requiring multiple surgeries, will continue to rehabilitate in hopes of being in playing shape by the fall.
"Who knows what he'll look like?" Tiller said.
As for Lindsay, prior to his suspension, he was regarded as the team's best young linebacker and a potentially valuable reserve at a position where depth is minimal.
In other roster news:
- Sophomore-to-be offensive lineman Jason Kacinko, a former high-profile recruit, is transferring to Pittsburgh.
"Kacinko decided to go to Pitt, to be closer to home," Tiller said. "And that's where his girlfriend's going."
