Bowens has “good” camp visit
Garner (N.C.) linebacker Reggie Bowens made the short trip across I-40 to Chapel Hill Saturday afternoon, where he participated in North Carolina's one-day camp. Bowens engaged in the camp's drills and individual workouts, and spent some time with the Tar Heel coaches.
"It was a good camp. I got a good workout," Bowens said. "We had a bunch of drills that we did, one-on-ones and seven-on-sevens, but overall I thought it was a nice camp."
Bowens spent the majority of his time with UNC linebackers coach Tommy Thigpen, but he also spoke a little with offensive coordinator John Shoop. The Tar Heel assistants expressed their interest in the 6-2, 210-pounder, and also encouraged himself to perform at a high level during the camp.
