Thomas Ashcraft surveys the field
Few high school football players have been as busy as Thomas Ashcraft this summer.
The blue-chip offensive line prospect, one of the top players in the state of Texas for the 2009 class, has taken unofficial visits or attended camps at Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, Kansas, Kansas State and Southern Cal.
The highlight of the trips, as one might expect from an elite level prospect, was the chance to test his skills against some of the country's best players.
"I like the competition, just going against kids from other states," said Ashcraft. "I like competing against other top players and just getting to look at the coaches."
