Rising star WR to camp at UA
Ohio native D.J. Woods has seen his stock shoot through the roof since the May evaluation period with double-digit offers including one last week from Auburn. This week Woods, 6-foot, 169-pounds, will be heading to Tuscaloosa to Alabama's camp with the hopes of earning a Tide offer.
"We are going to Alabama for Sunday's camp," D.J.'s father Derrick said. "We've got a crazy schedule where we are going to Friday Night Lights at Florida, then my daughter has a basketball game in Birmingham on Saturday and then we drive over Sunday to Alabama's camp. We wanted to go Monday too but D.J. has a camp at his high school that he can't miss. It's interesting how this came about because D.J. has been a late bloomer. He had a few offers and then in May he has just been blessed. He's gone to several camps and picked up offers and the whole experience has been humbling for us.
