Richt addresses the fans
Georgia Head Coach Mark Richt addressed over 1,000 fans at the Cobb Galleria on Monday night for the Greater Atlanta Bulldog Club meeting. Richt spoke for almost an hour and took questions for around 45 minutes from fans, but there are still many questions lingering as we heading into the beginning of fall camp on Saturday.
The biggest individual question mark is the status of starting junior tight end Tripp Chandler for the season opener against Oklahoma State. Coach Richt said the situation remains unresolved and he will take his time deciding on when and if he will sit Chandler.
"People are wondering if [Chandler] will play in the first game or not. We have athletic association policies, but I have some judgment over what to do in this situation. I would not count on him being there the first game, but I would not necessarily count it out either," Richt said.
The Bulldogs have had a series of minor legal infractions this summer, but coach Richt takes all of the incidents seriously.
