Fall Preview: Receivers
Of all the positions on the Georgia Bulldogs 2007 squad, none returns as many players who have started or has the depth as does the wide receiver corps. The Bulldogs lost just one player from last year, but when you consider that one player, Mario Raley, had half of the Dawgs' four touchdowns by receivers, question marks abound.
In all, UGA will have 13 scholarship receivers on the roster when they begin fall practice this Saturday in Athens. Still, none of the returning players who started at one time or another last season, A.J. Bryant (11), Mohamed Massaquoi (9), and Demiko Goodman and Kenneth Harris (2 each), finished spring camp as members of the first team.
Instead, junior Mikey Henderson, who was moved from cornerback to receiver last year, edged out Bryant at flanker, while senior Sean Bailey, who missed all of 2006 with a torn ACL, overtook Massaquoi at split end.
