How you make a play

GoldenBearReport.com Cal football coach Jeff Tedford is not one to get too excited about a play on the field. Thursday afternoon however, the two-time Pac-10 coach of the year made an exception. Seconds after cornerback Syd'Quan Thompson snagged a pick off the hands of Nate Longshore, Tedford raced over to his young athletic defender and slapped hands with the sophomore before screaming out "that's how you make a play." Thompson's pick was one of a handful of notables during Day 4 of Fall Camp.

Thompson's interception was even more impressive considering who it came against. Longshore took the snap from a shotgun formation, peeked to the left side of the field before turning his attention back towards the right and looping a ball in what looked to be right in between Thompson and safety Bernard Hicks.
