With assistant coach Torrian Gray on the roster, Virginia Tech has made a strong presence in the state of Florida this recruiting season. The Hokies have already offered numerous prospects and can add one more to the list in Orlando (Fla.) Boone defensive tackle Jamarcus Allen.

The 6-foot-1, 250-pounder named Virginia Tech, South Florida and North Carolina as his finalists.
