Olsen confident the OL will improve

HawkeyeReport.com While Saturday's open practice was not exactly a clinic in good offensive line play, junior Seth Olsen is confident the Hawkeyes will get things straightened out upfront before the season opener. Olsen talks very candidly about where the offensive line is at right now, what they need to do to improve, how his roommate Bryan Bulaga is doing, plus much more. Q: Do you think two weeks into camp the offensive line should be better or further ahead? OLSEN: Yeah. I mean we thought we'd be a little further along in our progression. Camp can be a drag and we might have had a few bumps in the middle of the road, but we have a night off here, so we should definitely rejuvenate and look forward to coming back next week and improving.
Q: Bulaga was playing a lot with the second team today. Is he right there in the mix? OLSEN: Sure. I guess you'd have to ask Coach Ferentz, but he's been a really good job in camp. He's stepped in and he's studying his playbook well. I'm rooming with him, so we're going through stuff just about every night. He's coming along pretty good. Q: How about the offense as a whole, is it where you thought it would be? OLSEN: No. I mean we still think we can get more out of ourselves. We all think as a unit, the whole offense line, we can be a lot better than we are at this point. We're pretty confident we'll get things straightened up in the two weeks prior to the game.
