New manpower on interior for Irish

Two years ago a freshman Smith ranked as Notre Dame's top interior reserve, hitting the field briefly in an Irish upset of Michigan. Today, Smith sits as Notre Dame's fourth option behind Maurice Crum, Joe Brockington and Toryan Smith, while also working as a back-up at outside linebacker.
