Morning practice sluggish
Well the team finally hit the wall and had a tough performance during this morning's practice. There weren't many smiles from the players or the coaches after this morning's stanza. Practice was sluggish and the players it appeared, were suffering the aches and pains of Saturday's scrimmage.
It was obvious that UCLA coach Karl Dorrell was not happy with the morning effort and was going to get busy to remedy the situation.
"We trudged through our practice today," Dorrell said. "It wasn't exactly the best performance on either side of the ball, but we knew we were going to be a little bit sore and tired after a 100-plus plays on Saturday, but again that's not quite what we're expecting for us to do given what we think we are as a program.
"It was definitely one of those things that we were bound to hit a struggling block and it was today. We will get it fixed this afternoon and we're getting their attention as you can see and we will get ourselves ready to go for a great practice this afternoon.
