Harris steals the show in Naaman Forest win
Garland Naaman Forest wide receiver John Harris really didn't have too many expectations going into the Rangers' opener with Arlington Sam Houston Friday night.
After all, the 6-foot-2 Harris was not only starting his first varsity game, he was also playing wide receiver after being a quarterback for the past two seasons.
Nonetheless, the sophomore made the transition look easy on all levels in helping lead Naaman Forest to a 42-0 victory over the Texans. Harris had four catches for 60 yards and two touchdowns and also ran 56 yards late in the game for another score as the backup quarterback.
