Heygood proving to be a 'natural' at linebacker

GoldandBlack.com During Purdue's season-opener at Toledo on the first of this month, Anthony Heygood became lost in thought for a moment or two.
"I was on the sideline in the middle of the game," Heygood said, "and thought, 'Man, I had (only) played special teams for so long that the game kind of got boring to me.'"
Last season, Heygood was buried on the depth chart at running back, playing in the kicking game, prompting him to request a move to defense. The year before, he was Purdue's fullback, playing maybe a handful of snaps, on a good day.
Thus, the boredom. Now, you can consider Heygood re-energized.
