Dawgs prepare for T-Town
Momentum plays a huge role in college football and following Alabama's dramatic 41-38 win over Arkansas, Georgia head coach Mark Richt is concerned with how his Bulldogs will slow down the Crimson Tide.
"Momentum, that's the word. They've got it right now," Richt said. "They've got a lot of momentum right now. It's hard to get it started sometimes, but once you get it started it can be very difficult to slow down. That's our challenge right now."
On paper, the challenge appears to be a daunting one.
The Bulldogs (2-1) are ranked No. 22 in this week's AP football poll following their 45-16 win over Western Carolina. But when Georgia rolls into Bryant-Denny Stadium for Saturday's 7:45 p.m. kickoff (ESPN) against the Crimson Tide, they'll do so with a team where four of its offensive linemen - Trinton Sturdivant, Scott Haverkamp, Chris Davis and Chris Boling - will be playing their first road game in a Bulldog uniform.
"I have no idea how these guys are going to react," Richt said.
