Bulldogs bring youthful bite
Georgia will bring plenty of football tradition and one of the nation's most recognizable helmets to Bryant-Denny Stadium Saturday to face Alabama.
But the faces inside those helmets will be anything but recognizable.
The Bulldogs (2-1, 0-1 SEC) start three freshmen on the offensive line, a sophomore at quarterback, and are led in rushing by another freshman. There aren't many hairs on Georgia's defensive chin either, with only three senior starters and just one among the front seven.
"A lot will be learned for sure because we just haven't played away, number one," said Georgia coach Mark Richt. "You don't worry about that much with a veteran team. But there's an awful lot of guys that will be playing in a very hostile environment for the first time."
