Thursday's practice report: O'Brien encouraged
It's been a little under a year since the North Carolina State football program could say it is on a winning streak.
NC State snapped its nine-game losing streak against Wofford last Saturday, and the impact has showed up at practice this week.
The Raleigh was hit with some storms, but NC State wrapped up its practice before the rain picked up. The showers didn't dampen the team's spirits going into Saturday's game against Clemson at Carter-Finley Stadium. The kickoff is set for noon.
"Any time you win, there is a little hop in your step," NC State coach Tom O'Brien said. "You come to practice and you are smiling because you won a game and they worked hard last week. It led to a victory. It made us work even harder this week in practice."
