Did you Notice?
Maryland handed Rutgers its first defeat of the season on Saturday, 34-24. While the Terrapins were knocking the Scarlet Knights down a few rungs in the national polls, we noted a few things that might not have jumped out at first glance.
Did you notice
- the explosiveness of Tim Brown on his 20 yard touchdown pass?
Brown caught the pass and then seemed to kick it into another gear as he dusted the Maryland secondary for Rutgers' first score of the day.
- the concentration of Tiquan Underwood on his 31 yard reception late in the second quarter?
Underwood was bumped off his route and continued down the sidelines, yet he still maintained his concentration on the ball. He adjusted and ran under the Teel pass to set up the Scarlet Knights' first score of the game.
- Ray Rice's stiff arms that continually punished Maryland defenders?
It almost looked like a trip hammer that knocked oncoming defenders to the turf.
