Beck injured, Evans to start vs. Florida State
Harrison Beck is out as starting quarterback, and Daniel Evans is back in.
Beck is out literally with a shoulder separation suffered against Louisville on Saturday. Beck was hit with 6:57 left in the third quarter, but stayed in the game one more play, heaving a 53-yard pass to wide receiver Donald Bowens.
Evans came in and completed the drive with a nice play call, hitting fullback Cedric Hickman for a two-yard touchdown reception.
Evans was named the starter for the Florida State game Monday, with Justin Burke moving into the backup role. The kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee.
Evans helped lead the Wolfpack to a 24-20 victory against Florida State last year. The junior went 13 of 22 for 190 yards and three touchdown passes against the Seminoles. It was Evans' second start of his Wolfpack career.
