Offense is nearing completion
For the greater part of three quarters last Saturday in Athens, Ga., the Ole Miss Rebel offense was in stride.
Quarterback Seth Adams stretched the defense by finding Mike Wallace on a deep ball. Adams went underneath to Shay Hodge and Robert Lane. The offense moved the ball on the ground, and the running backs caught some balls in the flat.
This is what offensive coordinator Dan Werner had imagined.
The offense's shining moment came on the Rebels' first possession of the second half - an 18-play, 84-yard drive that took over nine minutes off the clock.
