Dawgs must win in Nashville
Say one thing for Georgia's loss to Tennessee: It did nothing to affect Bulldog coach Mark Richt's approach to Saturday's game at Vanderbilt.
"I got into every game believing we're going to win," Richt said. "I haven't changed that way of thinking in 20 years."
Although Richt won't admit it, the Bulldogs' 6 p.m. contest (ESPN2) against the Commodores is big for a couple of reasons.
First and foremost is the win. It doesn't matter how ugly, how impressive or by what score. Georgia needs a victory to wipe the bitter taste left by last week's 35-14 debacle in Knoxville. Of course, if it helps to quell some of the negative feedback being directed toward the coach's office located in the Butts-Mehre Building for Saturday's sloppy play, all the better.
