Last practice before Cal a good one
UCLA finished two of the best weeks of practice since training camp and the team appears to be ready for the most important game of the season. A win against Cal would do much to help this season and give the confidence to finish the season strong.
Much is at stake this Saturday and it was obvious that this Bruin football team is aware of that fact. Now they must take the same energy, focus and intensity from the practice field to the Rose Bowl. There is no room for error.
"We had a really good week of practice," UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell said. "The preparation has been good. It seems like our team is really excited about, scratch that, they are really excited about this opportunity this weekend.
"It is a good opportunity for us to have a week of rest and kind of get ourselves ready for a great football game and we know how good this team is. We know how we need to play. We're prepared to play that way and it is time to do it.
"Our week of preparation has allowed for us to be in that position for Saturday. It is a 12:30 kickoff. It's early so we get to wake up and go right at it and get ourselves ready to play a great football game.
