Crenshaw teammates commit to Arizona State
Arizona State picked up a pair of teammates as verbal commits on Saturday, when Los Angeles (Calif.) Crenshaw wide receivers Kemonte Bateman and Clint Floyd pledged the program following the team's 31-20 win over Cal.
Bateman, -- a four star recruit and the No. 38 receiver in the class -- and Floyd traveled to Tempe unofficially for the game along with several other Crenshaw players, and before they left the following day, they had seen enough to declare themselves future Sun Devils.
We spoke with both players as they were on the road home for their thoughts on the decision.
"The campus was great, the stadium was amazing. I felt like I was a Sun Devil that day," Floyd said. "I committed. I did it last night. Kemonte committed the same time I did. We've been talking about this for a long time and it felt right.
"It's a great school and (receivers coach) Eric Yarber, he's just a great coach. They lead by example. It's not that far from home which is good too."
