School records within McKinley's reach
With each reception, Kenny McKinley knows the question will be asked.
Would the 6-foot-0 junior from Mableton, Ga. consider leaving USC with a year of eligibility remaining in order to enter the NFL Draft?
And McKinley's answer, he contends, will always remain the same: No.
But that doesn't mean his career-high 14 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown in last week's game at Tennessee hasn't opened some eyes of NFL scouts.
"I'm not even thinking about (leaving for the NFL)," McKinley said. "No, I'm staying."
McKinley's numbers this season - 55 receptions for 676 yards and seven touchdowns heading into Saturday's 8 p.m. game at Arkansas - have certainly caught the attention of the Razorbacks secondary.
"He's a great athlete," Arkansas cornerback Jerell Norton said. "I tip my hat to him. He's able to find ways to get open against zone and man (defenses). He's quick, he has speed, he has great hands. He has a big heart. He really wants to win. As a defender, we know we're going to be challenged every play. On the practice field, we have to push ourselves 10 times harder to prepare."
