Extra points: QBs still struggling
It's been a wild ride for the men under center this season.
The Ole Miss quarterback situation is as unclear as it's been since early August, when head coach Ed Orgeron had yet to name a starter.
Saturday in the Rebels' 38-31 win over Northwestern State, both senior Seth Adams and Brent Schaeffer played quarterback with similar results - not good ones.
"We are disappointed in the quarterback play, both of them really," Orgeron said. "We couldn't get anything going."
Adams started his 10th game of his career and struggled once again. He completed 7-of-15 throws for 113 yards and an interception (with 46 of the yards coming on a short crossing route to Dexter McCluster).
In Adams' first five starts, he was 95-of-155 for 1198 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions. His unofficial passer rating was 138.08.
In the five games since, all of Adams' numbers have gotten worse.
