Rivals100 LB Baker sure of three visits
When Blountstown (Fla.) linebacker Ryan Baker committed to LSU before the start of the season he was flying well beneath the national radar - rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com. Now as his senior season winds down he has emerged as one of the top prospects in the Sunshine State and was recently elevated to Rivals100 status here on the network.
The 6-foot, 205-pound player shot to the top of the rankings based primarily on his play this season. He is among the leaders in several defensive statistical categories in the Big Bend area.
That production has caught the eye of many coaching staffs from around the southeast, but will their renewed interest cause him to rethink his LSU commitment?
Baker says that one of the main reasons for his initial commitment was the fact that LSU was the one program who seemed to be most committed to him. While other staffs were taking a wait-and-see approach, the Tiger staff dove right in.
