It's been a big week for junior quarterback Matt Barkley of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif. First, the 6-foot-4, 220-pound signal caller learned that Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis made his second visit to Mater Dei and Wednesday he was named by Rivals.com as the top player in the Class of 2009.
